Dolores Cannon

An hypnotherapist and her method

Dolores Cannon (1931-2014) was an internationally renowned hypnotherapist, prolific author, and recognized speaker. Her work has left a lasting impact on many in the fields of hypnotherapy and regression into past lives. This is also true for her research on rather exotic subjects, such as extraterrestrial abductions (it’s interesting to hear her tell the story of how she was led to explore this field).

1. A pioneer in hypnotherapy

Dolores Cannon was one of the first hypnotherapists to develop techniques for past life regression, notably the renowned Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®). She utilized and perfected this method to assist numerous individuals in exploring their past and resolving deep emotional issues.

2. An accomplished author

She wrote numerous books (19 published during her lifetime), including the astonishing series ‘The Convoluted Universe’. These books focus on exploring rather unconventional, often complex and esoteric subjects, such as life and extraterrestrial contacts, metaphysics, and the nature of reality. The content of this book series is drawn from her most remarkable regression hypnosis sessions. Dolores Cannon’s works have been translated into many languages, and many are now available in French, for instance, through various publishers. They continue to influence a broad audience to this day.

3. Research on extraterrestrial abductions

Dolores Cannon also worked with individuals who claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrial entities. She used her hypnosis techniques to help them recover lost or obscured memories and to better understand their experiences. Her contribution to research on extraterrestrial abductions garnered interest from researchers and the general public. We are well aware that this topic appeals mainly to those interested in it; others often dismiss it as mere fantasy. However, it should be emphasized that Dolores Cannon, in this aspect as well, took the position of curious explorers rather than overly satisfied skeptics. Her priority was to assist the people who sought her guidance to the best of her ability.

4. An international speaker

She traveled the world to share her knowledge and experiences with an international audience through conferences and workshops. She utilized her remaining free time to conduct sessions and write her books. Her expertise and speeches influenced many researchers, therapists, and enthusiasts of spirituality and metaphysics. Thanks to her daughter, Julia Cannon, and her students, it’s easy to find content on the internet. Numerous conferences, interviews, radio shows, and podcasts have been recorded.

5. Her posthumous influence

Even after her passing in 2014, the legacy of Dolores Cannon endures. Her teachings continue to influence the fields of hypnotherapy, past life regression, and metaphysical exploration. Her technique is taught, and many practitioners now receive information in sessions that align with what Dolores Cannon shared during her lifetime.
